About the Role
Brandon Medical Practice is inviting applications for a skilled, enthusiastic and motivated GP to join our team to work alongside our existing staff to continue to provide excellent patient care.  Brandon Medical Practice is an established practice, in the small market town of Brandon in Suffolk, within easy commuting distance of Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge. We are a friendly 2 partner surgery, with a list size of 5,500 patients.  We are high QOF achievers and we will support you to take an active role in helping us to continue to achieve this.

We welcome applications from newly qualified as well as Experienced GPs.
 
We will provide full indemnity, access to in-house mandatory training with peer support and invitation to clinical team meetings. We would want you to be and feel part of the team. Provided with mentorship and supervision, you will be well supported by our clinical and administrative teams.
 
 
Main duties of the job:
  • As agreed in co-operative practice with colleagues, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone/video consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, On Call, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. To include the designated share of workflow and pathology reports.
  • Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.
  • Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
  • Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
  • Engaging with activities such as the QOF, LES/DES and other additional work essential for providing a full service for patients.

About the Candidate
You will have the following qualifications:
  • Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
  • Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
  • Be on the NHSE medical performers list
and skills, including:
  • Adaptable, competent and motivated about caring for patients
  • An excellent communicator, with a positive attitude
  • Have experience, or be comfortable, working in a digital environment, and be open to learning new computer systems
