Practice Nurse (15 - 20 hours per week)

This is a part time position for 15-20 hours

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Practice Nurse to join a dynamic team at The Knares Medical Practice.  We are a forward-thinking medical practice with a friendly and supportive staff.

• A relevant nursing degree, with post-qualification experience in general practice;
• Current NMC registration with an active PIN;
• Competent to undertake asthma, COPD, diabetes, CHD clinics and reviews, holding the relevant certificates.
• Evidence of clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultation, phlebotomy, ECG recording, screening, management of long-term conditions, cervical cytology sampling, vaccinations and immunisations, dressing and wound care and recording spirometry.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach, with demonstrable kindness in all aspects of work, as well as valuing the dignity of patients, relatives, carers and colleagues.
• Knowledge and application of supporting long-term conditions.
• Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the NHS.

The Knares Medical Practice is a small practice located in Basildon with a practice list size of over 8,000 patients.

We are a friendly team of 2 GP partners, 2 GP assistants, 1 nurse practitioner, assistant nurse associate, clinical pharmacists, care coordinator, social prescriber, mental health team and a fantastic support team of administrators.
