Advanced Nurse Practitioner

• Providing independent assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of minor illness, chronic disease management, and acute presentations.
• Prescribing independently within your clinical competence.
• Contributing to the urgent care/on the day appointment system.
• Working closely with our GP, nursing, pharmacy and allied health teams.
• Supporting audits, QOF and continuous service improvement.

The successful candidate will be keen to undertake new ways of working and delivering healthcare, committing to under-taking the professional development required to adapt to changing circumstances. You will have the following qualifications, skills and experience;

• NMC registration with ANP qualification. (Masters required)
• Independent prescriber.
• Advanced clinical assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and decision making skills.
• Experience in primary care.

The Writtle Surgery, set in a beautiful village location, is a 3 partner semi-rural dispensing practice of a growing list of approximately 8000 patients. We are part of PCN Chelmsford West and have 3 salaried GPs, a fully staffed team including practice nurses, dispensers, secretaries and administrators, clinical pharmacists and receptionists. We are a training surgery and host medical students from the Anglia Ruskin University Chelmsford.
