About the Role
Queens Park Group Surgery in Bedford are looking to welcome an experienced finance officer to our team on a part-time basis for 25 hours per week. 
Reporting to the practice and business manager, the successful individual will oversee the bookkeeping, credit control and reporting for the surgery and work across our three sites. 
 
Main responsibilities will include;
 
  • Bookkeeping, processing invoices on Xero.
  • Reconciliation of all bank accounts.
  • Credit control.
  • Payroll administration, liaising with the external payroll provider. 
  • HRMC payroll duties. 
  • Managing any finance/payroll queries. 
  • Calculate pensions.
  • Process new starter and leavers information. 
  • Analysis of both financial and statistical reports.
  • Preparing end of year financial information. 
  • Administer petty cash for all sites. 
  • Process any claims. 
  • Liaise with the PCN, managing any requests for information. 
  • Check ARRS reimbursement.

About the Candidate

Applicants should have the following skills and experience:

  • AAT qualified or equivalent/experience. 
  • Bookkeeping/finance experience. 
  • GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths. 
  • Experience of working in a GP practice or other healthcare setting. 
  • Experience of the accounts software Xero and advantage.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Flexibility to work additional hours.
