About the Role

Riverside Health Centre in Manningtree has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and pro-active receptionist/administrator to join our team. The role is for 32.5 hours a week on site, working Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, between 8.00am and 6.30pm. This is a busy role that requires excellent communication skills, a good understanding of IT and ideally, experience of a busy reception/public environment.  

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to);

  • Greeting patients.
  • Care navigation.
  • Answering queries from patients and outside agencies and/or signposting to appropriate members of staff.
  • Supporting patients with the online triage system.
  • Updating patient records.
  • Processing electronic and paper correspondence.
  • Liaising with patients using various types of communication methods.
Flexibility to cover extra shifts to support the team with sickness and holiday cover is also required.

About the Candidate

To be considered for the position, you will have the following;
 
  • A good standard of education including Maths and English.
  • Experience of working in a customer services role, ideally reception experience.
  • Experience working within primary care is beneficial, however this is not essential.
  • Strong IT skills and be able to use computer-based systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and have good social skills.
  • Experience of SystmOne would be desirable, however full training will be given to a suitable candidate.
  • A friendly, caring and positive approach towards patients.

About Us

Riverside Health Centre is a branch surgery of the COLTE partnership. We care for around 6,500 patients with care provided by three GP partners, one salaried GP, one nurse practitioner, 3 practice nurses and two HCAs. We are a close-knit team who work together and support each other to provide the best possible care to our mixed and varied population of patients.

The Colte Partnership itself was formed in 2017 consisting of 8 local practices across Colchester and Tendring joining together to care for approximately 80,000 patients.

We also work as a part of a collaborative Primary Care Network (PCN) which spans across Colchester and Tendring.
