About the Role

Grove Medical Centre in Felixstowe are looking for an experienced nurse practitioner to join our busy team on a part-time basis for 3 days per week, but we can be flexible for the right candidate.

You will provide advanced clinical care, managing a variety of acute and chronic conditions through both face-to-face and telephone consultations. Working independently and alongside GPs and nurses, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

The Grove Medical Centre works on an ‘on the day service’ which our staff and patients are happy with.

You will have a mixture of telephone contact and face-to-face appointments with patients, along with the opportunity to manage your own caseload and develop your clinical expertise across a range of conditions. This varied role will allow you to utilise your advanced assessment and diagnostic skills to provide timely, effective care, while also participating in the ongoing development of service delivery within the practice.

You will be supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team and have access to continuous professional development to help you thrive in your role.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patient conditions within your scope

  • Prescribe medications as appropriate

  • Provide telephone triage and face-to-face appointments

  • Maintain accurate patient records

  • Support practice initiatives and participate in audits and training

About the Candidate

The successful candidate will undertake new ways of working and delivering healthcare, committing to under-taking the professional development required to adapt to changing circumstances.

Qualifications, skills and experience required:

  • Registered nurse with NMC registration 
  • Nurse practitioner qualification
  • Independent prescribing qualification
  • Experience in primary care or similar setting
  • Advanced clinical assessment skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sound clinical reasoning and decision making
