About the Role

The Eden Surgery is looking for an experienced prescribing practice nurse to join our friendly village GP practices in Hatfield Heath and Hatfield Broad Oak. This position is a part-time maternity cover for 2 days per week. The post will commence in January/February for 12 months.

The applicant must have previous experience as a practice nurse in a GP surgery and must be able to carry out the following duties:

Implementing, and participating in, vaccination and immunisation programmes for both adults and children, including patients travelling abroad.
Managing asthma and COPD patients and their reviews.
Dressings.
Cervical sample taker.
Diabetic experience would be an advantage.

About the Candidate

All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience:

A relevant nursing degree.
Current NMC registration with an active PIN.
Evidence of clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultation.
Compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work.
Knowledge, and experience of its application, in supporting long-term conditions.
Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS.

With two long established surgeries located in Hatfield Heath and Hatfield Broad Oak, The Eden Surgeries provides primary care services for a patient population of approximately 10,000 people, providing approx 4,000 clinical appointments each month.
