About the Role

Needham Market Country Practice are a busy, friendly GP surgery dedicated to providing high-quality care to our local community. We are proud of our supportive and approachable team culture, working collaboratively to deliver the best outcomes for our patients and are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated practice nurse to join our clinical team.
This position is offered on a part-time basis for 3 days/27 hours per week, working the following hours;
 
Monday: 08:30 – 18:30
Tuesday: 08:30 – 18:30
Wednesday: 08:30 – 18:30
Plus one Saturday per month: 09:00 – 12:00
 
The main responsibilities of the role include:
 
  • Carrying out routine injections
  • Managing and treating long-term conditions
  • Chronic disease management
  • Supporting and managing the health needs, cervical cytology consultations
  • Implementing, and participating in travel risk assessments and immunisation programmes/advice
  • Removal of sutures

About the Candidate

All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience:
  • A relevant nursing degree.
  • Current NMC registration with an active PIN.
  • Evidence of clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultation.
  • Compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work. 
  • Knowledge, and experience of its application, in supporting long-term conditions.
  • Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS.
