About the Role

North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre are seeking a caring and proactive receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis to cover 12 month maternity leave. Starting mid December, this role involves working across both of our Chelmsford sites: North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre and our branch surgery, Beaulieu Healthcare Centre.

Working Hours:

  • Tuesday 8am - 2pm
  • Wednesday 12.30pm - 6.30pm
  • Thursday 8am - 2pm
  • Friday 12.30 - 6.30pm

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Handle patient queries via phone, email, and in person
  • Assist the triage doctor as part of the triage team
  • Arrange home visits
  • Manage card and cash payments from patients
  • Oversee waiting lists and follow-up appointments
  • Support clinicians and staff with day-to-day tasks 

Training and support:

A comprehensive 3-week induction will be provided to ensure a smooth onboarding.
