About the Role

Tile House Surgery has an opportunity for a registrations and deductions administrator to join our busy practice support team and assist in the smooth delivery of excellent patient care. This role is offered on a part-time basis for 20 hours per week. This will be split into 4 x 5 hour shifts, working over 4 days Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Processing all new patient registrations, ensuring all documentation is completed and filed correctly.
  • Manage temporary and immediate necessary patient registrations.
  • Inputting information from new patient questionnaires into patient records.
  • Receive the Lloyd George records and update the computer system.
  • Digitising patient paper records.
  • Processing GP2GP transfers.
  • Processing deductions for patients leaving the practice as per protocol.
  • Prepare the Lloyd George records for deducted patients ready for collection.
  • Update records accurately and ensure appropriate archiving or transfer of medical notes.
  • Receive and make calls to/from patients with any queries to any part of the registration process or regarding address queries.
  • Manage all internal transfers.

About the Candidate

  • An experienced administrator, with excellent IT, time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to multi-task, work efficiently and maintain a high level of attention to detail, when under pressure.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as independently.
  • Ability to support and adhere to policy and procedures
  • Ability to cope with change effectively
  • Ability to work in a small team, enhance morale and maintain a positive working environment
  • Primary care experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience using SystmOne is desirable but not essential

Full training will be given on all processes and our clinical system.
