About the Role

Multiple Roles Available | Full-time or Part-time

Due to continued growth and internal promotions, The De Parys Group is recruiting several new colleagues to join our friendly Patient and Clinical Support (PACS) team. Reception roles in general practice can be busy, but they are also among the most rewarding roles in healthcare. As part of our PACS team you will often be the first person patients speak to when they need help, playing an important role in helping them access the right care at the right time.

If you enjoy helping people, working in a supportive team environment, and being part of an organisation that is committed to improving patient care, we would love to hear from you.

About the Role

The PACS team is the front door to the organisation, supporting patients and clinicians across our practice. You will help patients access the right care by:

  • Welcoming patients at reception
  • Answering telephone and online queries
  • Supporting GPs with triaging requests
  • Directing patients to the most appropriate services
  • Assisting with administrative requests such as test results and Med3 certificates

It is a varied and rewarding role where you will make a real difference to patients every day.

Working Pattern

We offer flexible full-time or part-time contracts with a range of shift patterns:

  • Morning: 8:00am – 1:00pm or 1:30pm
  • Afternoon: 1:00pm or 1:30pm – 6:30pm
  • Full day: 8:00am – 6:30pm

Development Opportunities

We strongly believe in developing our people. Many colleagues who join the PACS team go on to take on additional responsibilities or progress into other roles within the organisation.

Opportunities may include:

  • Developing specialist knowledge in triage and care navigation
  • Acting as shift leads to support colleagues during busy periods
  • Progressing into leadership roles
  • Moving into other areas of the practice such as administration, care coordination, or management
Please see the attached job description for further details.

About the Candidate

We are looking for colleagues who bring enthusiasm, compassion and a genuine desire to support patients.

You will ideally have:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • The ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
  • Flexibility to work across all our sites
  • Experience in a healthcare setting (desirable)
  • Experience using SystmOne (desirable)

Most importantly, you will enjoy working as part of a team that supports both patients and colleagues.

If you are looking for a rewarding role where you can make real difference to patients each day then we would love to hear from you. We welcome applications from people with strong customer service experience, even if you have not previously worked in primary care.

About Us

The De Parys Group’s priority is to provide the highest standard of clinical care to the 38,000 patients registered with the practice. We embrace a continuous improvement ethos and strive to ensure that we are available to patients when they need a consultation. We have a strong training ethos within the practice with a team of medical and non-medical educators as well as opportunities for non-clinical staff to develop and progress.

TDPG is fortunate to have its own dispensaries at our De Parys and Bromham sites. In addition to our routine GMS services, we offer a comprehensive range of services including minor surgery, LARC provision and anticoagulation clinics.

We have high QOF achievement and excellent KPIs within the group.

 Benefits include:
  • NHS pension scheme.
  • Proper pay and Living Wage Foundation accredited.
  • Eye-care vouchers.
  • Annual leave: minimum 23 days FTE, with enhancements for long service.
