Blackwater Medical Practice has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic paramedic with experience in primary care, to join their team on a full or part-time basis, depending on the successful applicant.
You will be able to demonstrate safe clinical decision-making and expert care of patients within our Practice, be competent in history taking and clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
You will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary, general practice team to meet the needs of the patient and manage clinical cases (mostly minor illnesses) and to be able to deal with presenting patient needs within a primary care setting.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Work as an autonomous, accountable Paramedic, providing a holistic approach including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to deliver high-quality patient services in the home or practice.
- Work closely together and as part of a wider multi-disciplinary workforce including, GPs, pharmacists, nurses, and social prescribers.
- Use advanced clinical skills to provide education to patients and service users, promoting self-care and empowering them to make informed choices about their treatment.
- Assess, diagnose, treat, refer, or signpost patients with undifferentiated or undiagnosed conditions relating to minor illness or injury, supported by senior clinicians as needed.
