Clinical Coder and QOF Administrator

Colchester Medical Practice are looking to appoint two positions of clinical coder and QOF administrator to join our experienced and expanding Coding/QOF team. 1. Part time 20-25 hours per week working Monday to Friday.  2. Job Share Part-time 15 hours per week working Tuesday and Wednesday. • Coding clinical documents accurately and within a 48 hour timescale.
• Forwarding clinical documents to clinicians following practice protocol.
• Carrying out clinical document follow-up actions, following practice protocol.
• Quality Outcomes Framework (QOF) - you will be responsible for allocating QOF clinical indicators, achieving targets for the practice.

The qualities we are looking for to fulfil this role include:

• Excellent attention to detail, ability to work to a high standard and at a fast pace.
• Ability to manage your own workload, but have the support of the coding/QOF team and line manager.
• A team player, flexible and able to cover when team members are on annual leave or sick.
• Candidates who have experience in clinical coding/QOF/EMIS Web clinical system, would be preferred, although we welcome applications from candidates with NHS or primary care experience in similar roles.
