About the Role
Please note: To be eligible to apply for this position you must be currently employed within Norfolk and Waveney Primary Care. 
 
NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board (ICB) are recruiting to the position of Primary Care Workforce Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Lead Fellow.  This role reports to the Senior Primary Care Workforce Manager and requires a time commitment of 1 Fellowship session (4 hours, 10 minutes) per week for 12 months. 
 
The Fellow will support the development and management of the EDI training programme and ensuring EDI is paramount in all programmes delivered by the PCWT within Primary Care across Norfolk and Waveney. This role will support the delivery of a wide range of functions in line with the People Plan and NHS Long Term Workforce plan, ensuring that Equality, Diversity and Inclusion are at the forefront. This 12-month Fellowship Programme offers a unique opportunity to support development of leadership collaboratively across the ICS, who have a proven interest in EDI. The Fellowship includes a portfolio of leadership across the system focussing on the following core values:

About the Candidate
All applicants should have the following qualifications:
 
  • Full registration with relevant professional body, e.g. GMC
  • Undergraduate Degree
  • Minimum training level or experience of: ST4-6, CT3, SAS, GPST3/4, Band 7/8a or equivalent, from a recognised specialty school training programme (for GPs)
  • Satisfactory progression through training, as evidenced by satisfactory outcomes in relevant specialty examination, e.g. RITA, ARCP, Prep CPD/Practice
  • Higher degree or management qualification 
and skills and qualities, including:
  • GP applicants to be within first 5 years of qualification
  • Good communication skills
  • Understands self and impact of behaviour on others
  • Evidence of continual personal learning and development
  • Ability to work with, and lead others, across professions
  • Critical appraisal skills
