About the Role

Woodhall Farm Medical Practice in Hemel Hempstead is seeking an exceptional, experienced practice manager to lead our organisation on a part-time basis, for 24 hours per week, days and times will be discussed at interview. 

The main responsibilities of the role include:
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources.
  • Managing and developing the practice administrative staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Liaising with NHS and other healthcare organisations, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Implementing and monitoring systems and processes to improve patient experience and practice efficiency.
  • Managing the practice finances, including budgeting, invoicing, and financial reporting.
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to support the practice in its growth and development.
About the Candidate

As a busy practice serving the local community, we are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the NHS and primary care networks.

You will have the following skills/experience:
  • Experience as a practice manager or in a senior administrative role within a healthcare setting, preferably in a primary care environment.
  • Thorough understanding of the NHS, its policies, regulations, and primary care networks.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with patients, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in financial management, including budgeting and reporting.
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and improving the patient experience.
