Fronks Road Surgery has a fantastic opportunity for an advanced nurse practitioner to join our friendly team on a part-time basis.
The advanced nurse practitioner will need to prioritise and triage the needs of patients making any necessary referrals to the duty or registered doctor as appropriate. There will be a requirement to see extra or emergency patients as well as completing nursing home visits and assisting home visits.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- consulting with patients either face-to-face or by telephone;
- diagnosing and treating patients presenting with minor illness;
- advising people in respect of their continuing medical and nursing needs.
- consult with patients regarding their disease management.
- Implementing, and participating in, vaccination and immunisation programmes for both adults and children, including patients travelling abroad.
- annual review of patients within the disease management of QOF;
- any other ad hoc practice nurse tasks required.
The post-holder will also be required to:
- Apply practice policies, standards and guidance
- Discuss with other members of the team how the policies, standards and guidelines will affect own work
- Participate in audits where appropriate.
