About the Role

The Millwood Partnership are looking for a salaried GP to join our busy practice and work as part of our multidisciplinary team, whereby you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group.  The role will include all general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care, as well as:

  • Delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population;
  • Provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract;
  • Generic prescribing adhering to local & national guidance;
  • Effective management of long-term conditions;
  • Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests & other associated administrative tasks;
  • Undertake telephone triage & duty doctor roles;
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy & guidance;
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice;
  • Contribute effective to the development & maintenance of the practice including clinical governance & training;
  • Prepare and complete the revalidation process;
  • Support the training of medical students from all clinical disciplines;
  • Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income & reduce expenditure;
  • Review & always adhere to practice protocols & policies;
  • Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, always promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
About the Candidate
All applicants should have the following qualifications:
  • Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
  • Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
  • Be on the NHSE medical performers list
and skills, including:
  • Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management, and primary prevention and screening services;
  • Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date;
  • Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety;
  • Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a confidential manner.
