Mount Chambers Surgery has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive senior receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis for 30 hours per week. This key and busy role will be responsible for ensuring all reception duties are performed effectively and to the required standard, meeting the objectives of the practice.
As a senior receptionist you will also be responsible for supervising and supporting the reception team, ensuring they achieve their primary responsibilities.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Lead the reception team and help answer any queries and problems.
- Identify and help provide team training where required.
- Support reception staff development, providing guidance and direction.
- Maintain and monitor the practice appointment system.
- Process personal, telephone and e-requests for appointments.
- Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately.
- Signpost patients to the correct service.
- Process incoming and outgoing email.
- Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies.
- Read code data on SystmOne.
- Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner.
- Deal with any patient complaints/concerns in a professional manner.
