About the Role

Elizabeth Courtauld Surgery in Halstead is recruiting a salaried GP to join our friendly, high achieving practice for 6-8 sessions a week. The practice has been total triage for nearly 2 years.

The postholder will deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for our patients. This will include being duty doctor for two sessions per week and undertaking a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home or at our designated care homes on occasions, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and dealing with queries, paperwork, results, reports and correspondence in a timely fashion.

The postholder will:

  • Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems.
  • Screen patients for disease-risk factors and early signs of illness.
  • Develop care plans for health in line with current practice protocols.
  • Provide health education.
  • Record clear consultation notes to agreed standards.
  • Collect data for audit purposes and comply with QOF requirements.
  • Deliver enhanced services.
  • Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions
  • Provide all general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
About the Candidate
All applicants should have the following qualifications:
 
  • Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
  • Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
  • Be on the NHSE medical performers list
  • Well-developed IT skills including SystmOne (desirable)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
