About the Role
Ardleigh Surgery in Essex are looking to welcome an experienced and motivated finance officer to our team, reporting to the practice manager and GP partners. This role is offered on a part-time basis for 20 hours per week. 
 
Main responsibilities will include:
  • Bookkeeping, processing and payment of invoices.
  • Checking supplier statements/remittance.
  • Claiming and monitoring of enhances services.
  • GMS/drug payment statements.
  • Chasing overdue invoices.
  • PCN/ARRS finance.
  • Reconciliation of all bank statements/accounts.
  • Account balance reporting/weekly cashflow reporting.
  • Payroll/pension administration.
  • HRMC payroll duties.
  • Tax payments.
  • Managing finance/payroll queries.
  • Processing new starter and leavers information.
  • Analysing of both financial and statistical reports.
  • Administering of petty cash.
  • Profit and loss report.
  • Preparing accounts for submission to accounts.
  • Attending quarterly/annual account meeting.
  • Monthly claims.
  • Reviewing and feedback on new contract.

You will be joining an enthusiastic team of clinicians and administrators. You will be well supported with on-going professional development (training support, CPD and peer support). The role will contribute to the improving quality of care of our patients across the network of practices. 
About the Candidate

Previous experience in primary care finance essential.
Experience of working in GP practice or other healthcare finance.
Experience of the account’s software.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

About Us
The Colte Partnership is a GP super-partnership, formed in June 2017. It brought together 9 local GP surgeries across Colchester and Tendring, serving approx. 98,000 patients. With the combined workforce, skills and knowledge, we are in a unique position to assist our patients across the county. 

As well as general practice, we offer extended access appointments to enable all of our patients to access medical care at evening and weekends; we work collaboratively with external agencies to provide in home services and social prescribing; we are working to be at the forefront of clinical research; and have many more exciting ventures on the horizon.
