About the Role

Calling all clinical pharmacists!

Are you looking for an opportunity to make a different in general practice? Are you looking for a flexible employer that will support your professional development?

We have an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist to join our well-established clinical practice pharmacy team, to work across our clinical patient facing sites including Haverhill, Long Melford and Lavenham. This includes working from our centralised hub in Haverhill, where most of the clinical workload is triaged with telephone and virtual consultations. This role is offered on a full or part-time basis, Monday to Friday with the possibility of some homeworking.

What’s the role?

  • You'll work with a highly-skilled, well supported and forward thinking clinical team.
  • Essentially you will provide support for the management and development of prescribing systems to ensure safe, effective and quality prescribing within Unity.
  • You will be a key member of the clinical pharmacy practice team working alongside pharmacists and pharmacy technicians reporting to the senior pharmacist.
  • You will also be involved in processing Econsult queries from patients.

The clinical pharmacy team is highly appreciated by our wider multi-disciplinary team covering patient cohort of over 24,000. There are clear benefits to the patients, GPs, the multi-disciplinary team, and the wider practice team.

We have a team of 4 clinical pharmacists, 4 pharmacy technicians, 1 pre-registration pharmacy technician and 2 medicines care coordinators, supported by a senior clinical pharmacist.

We want to invest in our staff, so professional development is encouraged and supported. We will support you towards, an independent prescribing qualification unless already an independent prescriber.

For further information, please see job description attached.

  • Caring and empathetic nature.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and wanting to offer the very best up to date patient care.
  • Work well as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Be confident on new IT systems with supportive training.
