About the Role

We are excited to share that we now have 3 new openings for salaried GPs to join the Unity Healthcare Team following positive growth in the organisation. We are running several surgery sites across Haverhill, Long Melford and Lavenham, enabled by the opening of our Triage and Operational Hub in March 2025.

We are strengthening our clinical and operational leadership to deliver on Unity’s 2028 vision. These new positions will report directly to a senior clinician, ensuring strong clinical input and a clear focus on patient care at every level.

  • Thursday 08:30 – 18:30 at Haverhill: Clements Practice & Triage Hub
  • Friday 08:30 – 18:30 at Long Melford

Pattern 2

  • Wednesday 08:30 – 18:30 at Long Melford
  • Thursday 08:30 – 18:30 at Haverhill: Clements Practice & Triage Hub
  • Friday 08:30 -13:00 at Haverhill: Clements Practice & Triage Hub

Pattern 3

  • Wednesday 08:30 – 18:30 at Haverhill: Clements Practice & Triage Hub
  • Thursday 08:30 – 18:30 at Haverhill: Clements Practice & Triage Hub
  • Friday 13:00 – 18:30 at Haverhill: Clements Practice & Triage Hub

About the Candidate

All applicants should have the following qualifications and attributes:
 
  • Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
  • Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
  • Be on the NHSE medical performers list
  • An ambitious and positive attitude towards team working, including provision of support and education to the multi-disciplinary team
  • A mindset that is comfortable with technology and embraces the efficiency of a total triage model.
  • A flexible practitioner adept at consulting via online, telephone, video, and face-to-face modalities.
  • A sense of humour
  • A willingness to share your ideas, and get stuck in with all aspects of practice life

About Us

Suffolk GP Federation CIC is a not-for-profit community interest company. Our main purpose is to support Primary Care across Suffolk including support with working collaboratively and at scale. We also deliver a portfolio of NHS services across Suffolk and North East Essex, including Podiatry, Ultrasound, Diabetes, as well as urgent Care Services including the Out of Hours face-to-face Service in Suffolk.

Face-to-face appointments continue at our three existing sites (Haverhill, Long Melford, Lavenham).
