Howard House Surgery supports in excess of 8500 patients from a diverse range of backgrounds. We have an established team with a strong focus on customer service and on developing staff in order to deliver excellent standards of patient care.

 We are part of Suffolk Primary Care, which is a group of GP practices delivering patient care across Suffolk. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and flexible administrator, with excellent interpersonal skills, to join our fantastic team at Howard House Surgery in Felixstowe. The vacancy is for between 34-37.5 hours a week; however, this may be negotiable for the right candidate. Flexibility is crucial to accommodate training, holidays and occasional sickness.

 Accountable to the Operations Supervisor and Practice Operations Manager, the main responsibilities of the post include;
  • Ensuring the timely, accurate and consistent recording of the clinical information onto the surgery computer system.
  • Scanning, forwarding and coding clinical correspondence.
  • Providing information to 3rd parties. 
  • Responding to AMGP requests.
  • Running searches to support clinical work.
  • Take responsibility for various administrative aspects of the practice.

About the Candidate

We would love to hear from candidates with the following;

  • Healthcare experience.
  • Strong IT and office experience is essential. 
  • Able to be flexible and has a range of transferable skills.
  • You should be able to work calmly and professionally as part of a team, with the ability to multi-task.
  • A strong command of written and spoken English with an excellent telephone manner is a must.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to follow protocols and or instruction and attention to detail is essential.
