About the Role

Haverhill Dental Practice are looking to welcome a qualified dental nurse to their team on a full time basis. 

Working hours will be, Monday - Friday 8.45am - 5.30pm, and once a month on a Saturday, 9.00am - 2.00pm.

This role will provide efficient and reliable chair-side support to clinicians while ensuring high standards of patient care, confidentiality, and GDPR compliance. 

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the full range of dental care provided to patients, from supporting with routine examinations to advanced specialist treatments.
  • Welcoming patients and reassuring them of the treatments.
  • Providing chair support whilst patients receive treatments, responding quickly to requests.
  • Assisting with all aspects of patient dental care and treatment including check-ups to fillings, x-rays to sterilising tools.
  • Preparing and mixing dental materials.
  • Maintaining and updating patient records.
  • Reassuring patients, responding to individual patient needs.
  • Liaising with the dental team, senior leaders and wider colleagues to maintain the effective running of the dental service.

About the Candidate

To be considered for this position, you will need the following qualifications, skills and experience:

Essential:
  • National diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Valid GDC registration.
  • Previous experience as a dental nurse.
  • Friendly, reliable, understanding individual.

You could also specialise as an Orthodontic Therapist, working with dental professionals to improve the alignment and appearance of patients’ teeth.
