About the Role

Botesdale Health Centre in Diss are looking for a professional, highly effective dispenser to join our friendly practice team on a part-time basis for 31.5 hours per week. (3.5 days).
 
Working days will be the following:
 
 Tuesday and Thursday 8.30am to 6pm, Wednesday 8.30am to 1.30pm and Friday 8.30am to 7pm with 1hr lunch breaks on the full days plus holiday and sickness cover (rostered across the team when required).
 
Duties will include;
  • Processing repeat prescription requests
  • Dealing with enquires either face to face, or over the phone
  • Assembling and dispensing medication
  • Ordering stock
  • Handing out prescriptions
  • Ensuring payments are taken and processed for prescriptions / forms are completed correctly

About the Candidate

If you are an experienced dispenser looking for an exciting new role, then we'd love to hear from you.
 
You will have the following skills and experience:
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • First class communication skills both in writing and orally.
  • Competent IT skills and experience of dispensing systems would be an advantage.
  • You will be an NVQ 2 qualified dispenser or equivalent.
  • Passion for the role, effectively work under pressure in a fast-paced environment both independently and as part of a team.
  • Possess an eye for detail and absolute accuracy.

About Us

 We are a rural GMS 10,100 patient surgery with 4 partners, 5 salaried GPs and a fantastic clinical and practice team with an on-site dispensary. We are located in a modern, recently extended surgery with community nurses located on site as well as an X-ray suite and glorious surrounding countryside.
