Practice Nurse - FTC

North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly team working across our main surgery and our new modern purpose-built branch surgery, Beaulieu Healthcare Centre. This role is offered on a fixed term contract.  We are happy to consider part-time or full-time hours.

Duties will include:

• Childhood Immunisations
• Cytology
• Contraception
• Wound dressings
• Adult Immunisations
• ECGs/BPs
• Health monitoring and management
• NHS travel vaccines
• Asthma or Diabetes Management (qualified or willingness to undertake training) - preferrable  

• A relevant nursing degree.
• Current NMC registration with an active PIN.
• Evidence of clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultation, phlebotomy, ECG recording, screening, management of long-term conditions, cervical cytology sampling, vaccinations and immunisations, assisting with minor surgery, dressing and wound care, and recording spirometry.
• Compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work.  The successful candidate will value the dignity of our patients, their relatives and carers, as well as their colleagues at the practice.
• Knowledge, and experience of its application, in supporting long-term conditions.
• Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS.
  
  

North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre is a busy SystmOne practice with a rapidly increasing list size of 18,800 patients. The practice has achieved a ‘Good’ CQC rating.
