About the Role

Due to expansion, Breckland Alliance Research has a fantastic opportunity for a Research patient recruiter to join our team on a full-time basis.  

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Create thorough SystmOne searches based off study inclusion and exclusion criteria
  • Responsible for the identification of suitable participants; recruitment of eligible participants to studies and trials
  • Provide ongoing advice and information to participants about their participation in clinical research to facilitate effective informed consent, working closely with the patient engagement and communications coordinator
  • Work with the doctors, nurses and administrative teams in the assessment of patients’ eligibility for the research trials including thorough pre screening of patients medical records.
  • Act as primary point of contact for participants on a clinical study
  • Identify barriers to recruitment and ensure PI and Research Manager is aware of them; identify and implement action plans to remove these barriers
  • Maintain accurate documentation of research related activities in the study and surgery notes
  • Follow all local, network and sponsor policies and procedure to ensure you are working according to GCP and Research Governance standards for the clinical studies
  • Maintain the site and investigator files

About the Candidate

We are open to candidates with varying qualifications. As this is a new an exciting role we understand that many clinicians will have the skills and experience for this role. We would consider applicants from registered colleagues including but not limited to Pharmacy Technicians, Nurses, Research practitioners, Physician Assistants and Nursing Associates.

All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience:
  • Experience of clinical system SystmOne
  • Data analysis and excellent excel knowledge
  • Medication and Long term condition knowledge
  • Exemplary communication skills to help patients to understand the value and reward of joining clinical trials.
  • Compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work. The successful candidate will value the dignity of our patients, their relatives and carers, as well as their colleagues at the practice
  • Experience working on clinical research
