Trainee Dispenser

The Holbrook & Shotley Practice is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Dispenser to join our friendly and supportive team on a part-time basis for 18 hours per week. 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some dispensing, pharmacy, healthcare, or customer service experience who is keen to develop a career in dispensing within a busy GP practice. Full training and support towards a recognised dispensing qualification will be provided.

Main duties will include:

• Dispensing medication accurately under supervision.
• Assisting with prescription processing and stock management.
• Providing excellent customer service to patients.
• Ordering, receiving and checking pharmaceutical stock.
• Maintaining accurate records and complying with dispensing regulations.
• Supporting the wider dispensary and clinical teams as required.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Experience in a dispensing, pharmacy, healthcare, or customer-facing role.
• Organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Good IT and administrative skills.
• Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Demonstrate a commitment to learning and development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
