PCN Paramedic

GP Healthcare Alliance (GPHA) has an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and enthusiastic paramedic to join our PCN, based at Southend West Central PCN. This role is offered on a full-time basis, for 37.5 hours per week.

The post holder will demonstrate critical thinking in the decision-making process. They will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to meet the needs of the patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures. The post holder will provide a holistic and clinical service, with support and supervision of GPs, implementing agreed management plans and following approved protocols as appropriate.

The post holder will triage, take a comprehensive history, examine, diagnose, and treat/refer or a range of minor injuries/illnesses/infections as required. Care may be delivered in several settings including within patient’s home, nursing, care home, telephone consultations, outreach events or potentially within a designated clinic within one of the GP practices.

Southend West Central PCN is a collaboration of five GP practices serving approximately 33,500 patients from the Westcliff-on-Sea and Leigh-on-Sea areas.
