As an experienced healthcare professional, they will have developed the skills, knowledge and confidence to work within an expanded role and scope of practice, providing high-quality care for patients. The successful candidate will also be expected to prescribe within their agreed scope of practice, where appropriately qualified.

The post-holder will:

  • Demonstrate a high level of expertise within the service, providing advice, education and support to staff, patients, families and carers.
  • Practise autonomously within their designated specialty area, providing patient-centred clinical care. This will include advanced clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis, treatment and prescribing within an agreed scope of practice.
  • Support new ways of working that promote a more efficient and patient-focused service, ensuring the safe treatment, referral and discharge of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations.
  • Lead and support the ongoing development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service, including the development of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced clinician to contribute to the continued development of patient care at East Lynne Medical Centre.
